Teachers training course for computer education of persons with vision impairment
There is a paucity of computer instructors for the visually impaired. Also, there is no standard curriculum designed to train instructors and neither is the combined experience of various proficient computer instructors available to new entrants into the field. EnAble India offers a comprehensive 100-hour teachers training course for master trainers providing computer education to the visually impaired.
The training includes:
JAWS training Revision of basic computer knowledge of Windows, MS Office General teaching techniques Special techniques for teaching computers to visually impaired
Prerequisites for the Course:
Mandatory
1. Qualification: Diploma in Computers, B.A, B.Com or equivalent degree, BCA
2. Fluency in written and spoken English
3. Computer literacy in MS Office, Internet
Desired
4. Familiarity of screen reader software (such as JAWS, Window eyes)
5. Regular computer usage for at least six months prior to the course
6. Good understanding of troubleshooting computer-related problems
7. B. Ed degree or teaching background
8. Understanding of visual impairments and other disabilities
